A Better Finish for Every Vinylpostcard

We are pleased to share a practical product development that improves the look, handling and usability of every Vinylpostcard we manufacture.

Vinylpostcards are designed to sit somewhere special: between a record, a printed object and a personal message. That means the small production details matter. Over recent production runs, we have refined our finishing process in two important ways:

·       We now introduce a die-cut the centre hole.

·       We have replaced sharp square corners with cleanly rounded corners.

Together, these updates give the finished Vinylpostcard a more considered, robust and record-like presentation—while retaining the distinctive postcard format that makes the product so memorable.

A precisely die-cut centre hole

The centre hole is now die-cut rather than created through the previous process. This provides a cleaner, more consistent opening and improves the overall finish of the product.

For artists, labels, brands and creative partners, it is a small but meaningful upgrade: the record looks more precise when placed on a turntable, feels more professionally finished in the hand, and better reflects the care behind the music and artwork.

Rounded corners, made for handling

We have also introduced rounded corners across the format. The change removes the sharp edges of a conventional rectangular card and creates a softer, more durable object.

Rounded corners help the Vinylpostcard feel more like a collectible music release than a standard printed item. They are more comfortable to handle, less prone to catching or bending at the edges, and visually connect the product even more closely to the circular form of a vinyl record.

Why we made these changes

At Vinylpostcards, we continue to develop the product through real-world production experience and feedback from the people who use it: artists, labels, agencies, cultural institutions, brands and collectors.

Our goal is not simply to produce playable records in a postcard format. We want to make a physical music object that people want to keep, share, display and play. The new die-cut centre hole and rounded-corner finish are part of that commitment.

Available for new projects

The updated finish is now part of our current production process for new Vinylpostcards. If you are planning a release, campaign, invitation, promotional mailing or collectible edition, we would be happy to discuss formats, artwork, audio and production possibilities with you.

Let’s turn your message into something people can play.
